What is Alertathon 2019 and when/where is it held?
Alertathon 2019 will be the 5th edition awareness running event organized by ALERT (www.alert.ngo) to promote the cause of First aid & emergency response during the Golden Hour.
Alertathon 2019 is scheduled on 10-Nov-2019, Sunday in Chennai. We will share the location details in the coming weeks.
What is Alertathon?
Alertathon is not just held for a social cause but also to provide one of the most memorable experiences for the supporters and for the running & walking lovers. The 2018 event saw around 1000 participants coming and supporting the cause, and hundreds of them trained in First-Aid and CPR training procedures.
What is unique about the Alertathon 2019?
This year, apart from the usual *10k & 5k distance categories*, we have introduced * “Chain of Survival Relay 2.5k x 4″*, an impressive relay run, for families and friends and group of running enthusiasts across many age categories.
We sincerely believe that this team relay event will provide you with an opportunity to complete a 10k distance and at the same time, you will learn an essential aspect of how a group of caring people can save precious lives.
How are my contributions utilized?
ALERT’s mission is to educate and build awareness to thousands of common men across society through their free first-aid and CPR training programs. Since its inception 13 years back, ALERT has trained more than 1,00,000 individuals.
By participating and supporting Alertathon, you are contributing to the ALERT’s principal mission to train more individuals across society.
Is Alertathon a family-friendly event?

How can I register for the Alertathon 2019?
You can participate in the Alertathon 2019 event by paying a small donation to the ALERT’s cause by following the registration page given below.
- 5k: a minimum contribution of Rs. 700/- per participant (timed run)
- 10k: a minimum contribution of Rs. 700/- per participant (timed run)
- 2.5k x 4 Chain of Survival Relay: a minimum donation of Rs. 2400/- for a team of 4 people (one timing chip for the entire group)
ALERT is a registered Trust with 80G & FCRA certifications and you will receive an 80G receipt for your contributions.
Apart from my entry to the event, what can I expect?
All participants will receive,
- A finisher medal
- Post-run refreshments
- Free entry to first-aid and CPR training
I can’t participate in Alertathon or walk or run, is there any way I can still contribute & donate to Alert’s mission?
