Mr. V.M. Muralidharan
Chairman - ALERT

Mr. V. M. Muralidharan, fondly addressed as Mike, is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ALERT and is Chairman of Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. He was the first member from the Founder Late. V. L. Ethiraj’s family to don this role.

At present he is serving as a Director on the Boards of a few companies. Mike is also a Member of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, Executive Committee Member of SICCI, Co-Chairman-Education, CII, Chairman-Education, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Member, Chennai Angels.

Mike has received various recognitions including the prestigious ‘Edupreneur of the Year’ award in 2015, presented by His Excellency the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in recognition of his commitment & contribution to the cause of Women’s Education in India, recipient of the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from the Lions International and a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee of the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy.

Ms. Kala Balasundaram
Founder Trustee - ALERT

Ms. Kala Balasundaram, the Founder Trustee and President of ALERT is an IT management professional, who brings along a wealth of knowledge on varied fields of businesses. Until recently, she was working for a leading multinational as the Regional lead for operations. With over 2 decades of industry experience, she has adorned many roles in the IT industry and has managed several key accounts within the regions of central and eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Caucasian Republics and India.

Apart from all this, her passion towards serving the society in every way possibly makes her unique. She is a firm believer in the Corporate Social Responsibility of organizations and has demonstrated it through a number of initiatives that have grown to become mainstream CSR projects for large organizations. While at Xansa (Steria), a multi-national organization, she had been instrumental in initiating the adoption of Kilpauk medical hospital burns ward unit, which has grown to a full-sized project, managed and executed by Xansa. Apart from being a successful professional what sets her apart is her sensitivity and commitment towards the society around.

Mr. Rajesh.R.Trivedi
Co-Founder & Managing Trustee - ALERT

Mr. Rajesh R. Trivedi, the Managing Trustee of ALERT is a Management Professional with extensive consultancy experience in IT transformation across businesses to global corporate houses. A firm believer in generating value, whether business or social, he has been mentored by the greatest of minds in strategic thinking from the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth, USA and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher learning, India. In his corporate career, he has donned many hats across the spectrum of business such as strategic leadership, delivery management, business development, solution architecture across India, USA and the UK.

Rajesh has been a recipient of awards for delivery excellence and Global corporate diversity inclusion summit awards from Ford Motor Company, USA. Known for his analytical thinking and public speaking, he is an opinion leader par excellence.

The cause of “saving lives” being the calling, he quit his corporate career to spearhead ALERT, after leading it voluntarily from its founding days. Also, in an entrepreneurial drive, he has currently also taken to ideating and building sustainable solutions in healthcare.

Dr. Veerappan
Independent Trustee - ALERT

Dr.Veerappan, an independent Trustee of ALERT is the Co-founder and VP-operations of Tessolve. He brings with him 33 years of varied and rich experience in companies like Wipro, Motorola, BPL Telecom etc. Apart from being an executive member of CII and Indo US ICT Working group, he also shares the honour of being the Founder Treasurer of Indian Semi Conductor Association.

Having an extraordinary passion for service for the society, Veerappan has been bestowed with the CEO Award for Community Service by Motorola. A firm believer in reinstatement of human values, he has made immense contribution to the youth, through his lectures in various universities.

Mr. Kandaswamy Bharathan
Independent Trustee - ALERT

Mr. Kandaswamy Bharathan, an independent Trustee of ALERT is the CEO of DLM Digital studios Pvt Ltd and the Executive Director of Kavithaalaya Productions, a leading production house. An alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad, he is also the visiting faculty of the prestigious institute of management. His social bent of mind apart from being a complete professional makes him unique.
In view of the innovation and creative marketing approach, Mr Kandaswamy earned the name of ‘Cultural Ambassador’ by the Japanese media. He has been a Brand Ambassador for Indian entertainment industry in U.S., U.K and the Far East, through participation at Film festivals, international conferences and events. He was a member of Confederation of Indian Industry Delegation to the American Film Market 2003 (AFMA) which was held at Santa Monica, California.
