Two months ago, while on my way to college, I came across a group of bystanders surrounding an 11th-grade student who had fainted on the road. The student was lying in an uncomfortable position, still wearing his school bag, I stepped forward to assess the situation. I checked his vitals and was relieved when he responded positively to my response check. After confirming that someone had already called an ambulance, I carefully repositioned him into the recovery position, ensuring his safety until help arrived. When the paramedics arrived, they took over, and I later learned that the student was safe and out of danger. Thanks to the first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training I received from the ALERT VoICE program.
