Who is a Good Samaritan?

In a field of horses, be a unicorn said, someone. This world is dominated by humans. It is often difficult to pick from the lot as to who is good and who is not. While the latter is not entirely true, it is indeed a fact that we become what we see around us. And to make the world a better place, we have to be Good Samaritans.

Who is a Good Samaritan? What can be done to become a Good Samaritan? Good Samaritans make the country a better and safer place to live. To become a Good Samaritan one has to have these qualities and help others imbibe them:

Honest -

We all know the proverb “Honesty is the best policy.” If you are honest, you will be rewarded. By being honest, you are setting an example for others to walk in your path of honesty. When you sow the seeds of honesty, you are helping others be honest too. It is a Good Samaritan’s value, to be honest.

Integrity -

When you act in Good faith, you are encouraging others to do the same. As a Good Samaritan, you should have certain principles and values that govern your way of life. Stand up for what you believe in and preach integrity to people around you.

Selflessness -

A person who is on the toes to help people selflessly is a Good Samaritan. Things are always uncertain and anyone can meet any accident or unforeseen events. In times like these, we need Good people to step up to help while so many others stand watching. A Good Samaritan is she/he who is ready to help the ones in need.

Compassion -

Unless you don’t have empathy, you wouldn’t be able to help others. By being empathetic you are putting yourself in the position of the sufferer or the needy. Many people don’t step up to serve as they don’t have empathy. A Good Samaritan has compassion and empathy not just towards humans but other living beings as well.

Kindness and Tolerance -

By being kind to people, you are making the world a better place. Kind people bring sunshine and always make things better. A small or tiny gesture of kindness never costs anyone anything. Simple acts of kindness like helping the injured on the road or giving a thirsty person or a stray some water is more than enough to change others. A Good Samaritan has kindness and tolerance to understand and act to things.

Moral Courage -

Helping someone in an accident or any other unfortunate event needs courage. Those who do it are Good Samaritans. By being a bystander you are not helping anyone in need. Be a Good Samaritan, be brave. Have the courage to help those in need.

Good Samaritans are the need of the hour right now. We are all consumed by hurry in everything that we often fail to pause, look back, and find the reason for living. By being kind, courageous, compassionate, and selfless, we can make this world a better place.
