I was handling the session today in a college. Suddenly, during the CPR Demo, a girl in the batch demonstrating CPR had discomfort and started wheezing. All of a sudden, she had some partial body movement and fell. Holding her, I gently placed her on the floor. I was confused because the people around me said it is gasping, and they said that she used to get it often. Then something went wrong in my mind, and I could able to identify that it was a FITS/seizure/ epilepsy ( she experienced a FITS with partial body movements - only part of the body will have some abnormal movements/slight jerky movement)

I was calming her down and verbally giving her strength. I noticed the time duration(which is very important to be seen during a seizure). The course of her FITS was 2 mins. To ensure that the environment was safe around her, I moved the banners, stands, and other materials away and supported her head with a towel roll to make sure she doesn't bang her head down. I then placed her in the RECOVERY POSITION, and in another 2 mins, she regained her consciousness. As it is the tendency to forget what happened during the FITS, this girl could not recollect what she had gone through as she assumed it is as wheezing, and her friends labeled it as wheezing. Her friends were mocking her as that was a usual thing they used to see. I then raised my voice against them, telling them " to be a support to her, instead of mocking her. After this scenario, I played an awareness video on FITS where they understood their mistakes and blindness. Then, I started the session with great satisfaction and fulfillment.😊
