On November 25, when I was riding home on my bike, I came across a loud accident. I observed that one bike had collided with another bike at great speed and either of the drivers hadn’t worn helmet!
As the accident took place in the middle of the road, I moved the trauma victims to the side of the road as taught in First Aid classes. One of the victims were severely injured, that is, his face was covered fully in blood. Though he was unconscious, he was breathing and had pulse.
So, I put him in recovery position. Within five minutes of placing the first victim in recovery position, he slowly gained consciousness, sat up and then stood on his own feet.
I requested bystanders to not give water. When he felt alright, he himself consumed water. Later, his wife arrived and took him away. The other victim was unconscious, and suffered a few scratches. I couldn’t put him in recovery position, so I held his hand for reassurance and stayed by his side until ambulance arrival. After ambulance came, I went to my home. On inquiring next day morning about his health, I learned that he was safe and alive.
