My family and I went to a restaurant to have food. My one-year-old daughter ate a big piece accidentally, and it got stuck in her throat. She was tearing up from the pain. She raised her hand to call for attention and her breathing was blocked. I lifted her up and placed her in infant choking method upside down.

I had just then attended a First responder’s training at ALERT an hour ago, and I had come back home for lunch. All of a sudden, I heard a loud sound.alert VoICE – Pakathan J
I am Pakathan speaking. I thank ALERT organisation and team ALERT for giving me opportunity to learn first aid. There was a circumstance recently where I applied what I was taught in the training programme. When having non-vegetarian curry food in the afternoon, my father choked on the food that got stuck in the airway and had difficulty breathing.alert VoICE – Santhosh Shankar
Today my friends and I were travelling back home after volunteering. Everyone was rushing into their home as it was starting to rain. I saw a crowd at a distance.
